Papagayo Curaçao is located in Jan Thiel Beach, a privileged location where you will find multiple restaurants, beach clubs, sports activities, places to rest under a palm tree, or sophisticated cabanas to spend the day under the sun.

The Van den Tweel Supermarket on Curaçao is located near Jan Thiel Beach, on the ground floor of Papagayo Beach Hotel. The supermarket of no less than 1,000 m² offers a complete range of brands, local products, but also Albert Heyn products on premises. There are extensive fresh departments, including a very well-stocked fruit and vegetable square, and there is a Palthe dry cleaner at the counter.

Van den Tweel Supermarket Jan Thiel surprises you with a very wide range of high-quality and unique products. The enthusiastic team of 50 employees is at your service seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.!

Climate

All year round between 30°C and 33°C degrees!

Curaçao offers a spectacular weather year-round there really isn’t a bad time to visit. Curaçao's climate is tropical semi-arid, warm all year round, since daytime temperatures fluctuate throughout the year between 30°C and 33°C degrees. The May-October period is the muggiest, but the trade winds blow constantly, tempering the heat.

From February to August the southeast trade winds blow from South America and bring dry weather, while from October to January the northeast trade winds blow, which are a little less intense and can sometimes bring rain.

The only rainy period is from October to December, in which, however, it does not exceed 120 millimeters per month. As mentioned, from October to January, and sometimes in mid-February, the trade winds from the northeast blow, producing quite frequent showers, although they are generally not abundant.

Hurricanes:

From June to November, but especially from August to October, there is a danger of tropical storms and hurricanes, which are however rare on Curaçao and the sheltered Antilles due to their southern position. However, hurricanes can sometimes pass through these parts as well, such as Hurricane Irene in September 1971, Joan in October 1988, Bret (Tropical Storm) in August 1993, Ivan in September 2004, and Felix in September 2007.

Fundiving Curaçao PADI 5 STAR IDC Dive Resort is a new company located on the island of Curaçao. The main activities are the dive courses, discovery scuba dives, guided shore and boat dives, snorkel trips, besides snorkel and dive equipment rental. A nice dive shop is also a part of the dive center, where you can buy snorkel and dive equipment, beach products, children and adult beach clothing. We offer dive holidays to groups with accommodation, land and sea activities. The main goal of our team is to provide a unique and special experience with the dives to our students and guests. Beach Tennis
Situated right at the heart of the beautiful island Curaçao, on the world-famous Jan Thiel Beach. On the beach you will find three Beach Tennis courts and a recreational area where they organize Beach Tennis activities throughout the whole week, for players of all ages and levels. Besides Beach Tennis, the courts can also be used for Volleyball, Beach Soccer, kids' parties and so on! Tournaments are being held regularly (see the actual schedule here ) and everybody can join the Bon Bala League for different categories!

Court rental (All material is available for rent at Beach Tennis Curaçao)

ANG 25,- court rental per hour during the day.

ANG 30,- court rental per hour during the night (from 18:00pm).

ANG 5,- per racket or volleyball.

ANG 15,- Racket Night (Every Monday and Wednesday evening from 19:00 - 21:00).

ANG 25,- per Tournament (to play the Tournaments you must be a member)
